New Years Visualization

Influencing your future can be as simple as getting a picture in your head of something (or many things) you hope to achieve in the upcoming year, or in the next hour, for that matter.  If you’ve already made a list of New Year’s Resolutions for 2014, consider taking your list and spending time each day doing the following four steps with each resolution.  If you don’t have a list of resolutions, then just start from scratch with step one.

1.  SEE IT
What does your ideal life look like?  Do you want good health, fitness, a feeling of well-being, connections and joyful interactions with all people, a peaceful feeling of calm and clarity, a feeling of aliveness, passion and connectedness to life, the feeling of anticipation for so many possibilities, the energy of curiosity and wonder, and more. Maybe you want a new job, to find the love of your life, to walk the Appalachian Trail or climb Mount Everest?  From the list of things you desire, pick one thing to get started, and start simple.  Get specific about where you are, who you are with, what you are doing, how you are dressed, what you are feeling, and marinate in the vision you are creating.

Contrary to popular opinion, seeing is not believing.  You must also have faith that you can experience this, a place in your mind that offers room for this experience.  Have you made space in your mind to hold your dreams?  If not, perhaps it’s time for some house-cleaning?  Out with the old thoughts, in with the new.

Once you make space, you must grant these new experiences permission to occur, open the door to that space you created in your mind.  Often those who resist what they want get snagged on feelings of unworthiness, or feeling undeserving. Notice your resistance to feeling good.  Notice, accept, open and allow.

Now for the best part.  Experience it.  Ahhhh.
This, by the way, is The Law of Attraction.  If you are unfamiliar with The Law of Attraction, do yourself a favor and add to your list of resolutions this year to “learn more about “The Law of Attraction.”
